Featuring back vocals in the “response” manner of gospel singing, Ferlin Husky’s smash country hit of 1960, Wings of a Dove (Bob Ferguson) was his biggest selling record. The record topped the country charts for ten weeks and reached #12 on the pop charts. Husky had over two dozen additional hits from 1961 to 1972. Of those the biggest were Once (1967) and Just For You (1968).
